What do exterior painters need to know before giving an estimate?
As the weather starts to warm, it’s time to head outside and have some fun. And when we say fun, we mean gardening, grilling out or reading a book while swinging on a hammock. What may not be fun for you is spending a couple precious weekends painting the exterior of your home. That’s why you hire professionals — because we get the job done quickly, and right the first time.
But the big question: How much does it cost to paint the exterior of your home? There are a few factors involved to getting an accurate estimate. They include:
– Square footage
– Number of stories
– Specific material siding is made from
– Ease of access
Square footage and story count is pretty basic, but we’ll be able to come up with a quicker estimate if you give us the type of siding currently on your home. That can range from concrete, stucco, vinyl, wood, or metal (or a combo). This lets us know what type of paint we’ll need to use. We’ll also need to know ( and we can let you know after arriving if unsure) if there is any damage to the existing siding.
Important, as well, is the type of exterior house paint you would like to use. We recommend the highest quality you can afford, but we can come up with many options.
Our pro’s at Nu Coat Painting have all the materials and expertise to quickly make your home look like new again, so if you have the information we need for an estimate, we will quickly let you know what to budget for to get the job done. You may be pleasantly surprised.
